Organisation for the less privileged during lockdown

The Ellis Park-based organisation, who serves southern areas, wants to reach out to the people in terms of giving food parcels and other necessities during this lockdown period.

Lusha Initiative Platform, a non-profit organisation, is appealing to members of the public to assist them with donations to help the less privileged.

They serve people in the southern areas and is reaching out to the community to assist their work in giving out food parcels and other necessities during this lockdown period.

The organisation aims to support the government in fighting this Covid-19 by giving people food as some won’t be able to go to work and provide for their families.

They are depending on donations from the public to keep supporting the less privileged throughout the lockdown.

The founder of the organisation, Sipho Masigo, said to continue to help out during this time they will need any kinds of food donations or money to buy soup and bread.

“We also help learners who are suffering because of hunger as many of them depend on different schools’ feeding schemes. “Schools are closed so can you imagine how they are coping,” said Masigo.
