Three suspects driving a red Golf have been apprehended and arrested by SAPS and Fidelity ADT reaction officer Mbongiseni Zwane in Glenvista on April 9.
The incident occurred at approximately 11.35 am.
Zwane was driving on Comaro Street in Glenvista when a red Golf almost bumped into his vehicle.
When he checked behind him, he noticed the SAPS were in pursuit of the vehicle and Zwane joined the chase in the direction of Witbank on the N12 highway.
Along with the SAPS, they managed to stop and apprehend three suspects.
A search of the vehicle revealed the car contained a stash of drugs.
SAPS had initially tried to stop the suspicious vehicle, but it sped off. In their haste to escape, the Golf skipped a red traffic light and almost collided with Zwane’s vehicle.
The trio was arrested and taken to Moffat View Police Station.
Linda Goodenough, community development manager for Fidelity ADT, commended SAPS and Zwane on the apprehension of the suspects.
