Inyathi Visions Development Centre (skills centre) is a non-profit-organisation (NPO) that was formally started with the objectives of community development and poverty alleviation interventions, through activities that are aimed at the appropriate provision of psychosocial, development and support services to its beneficiaries through intervention services that render social relief programmes within this region’s community where state social relief programmes cannot support people.
An advice services on skills development, social support programmes, and business entrepreneurial are provided to vulnerable youth, children and their families and the unemployed persons in the area.
Intake for next year starts on November 11.
• Learnership – with a stipend (first come, first served) cabinet making and upholstery.
• Skills programme – with no stipend. Welding, bricklayer and upholstery.
• Computer literacy and life skills (in house).
In the 2019/20 financial year the centre has trained 480 beneficiaries on life skills, goal setting, time management, management skills, leadership skills, and good communication skills.
• 30 beneficiaries (welding – qualification with accreditation).
• 80 beneficiaries (computer literacy training- qualification with accreditation).
• Job placement of more than 60 beneficiaries. They are conducting life skills training monthly.
