IN aid of children with disabilities, Brittle Bones SA will host their annual Super Hero party, where special-needs children and their parents will be hosted.

They will be provided with loads of fun and entertainment during the event at Rietvlei on October 26 at 10am.

Brittle Bones SA is an organisation dedicated to raising awareness of osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). Also known as brittle bone disease, OI is a group of genetic disorders that mainly affect the bones.

The NPO also aims to provide medical equipment, such as wheelchairs and Kaye walkers, as well as cover medical costs where possible for beneficiaries. It helps members and their families through support groups to deal with the emotional impact that comes with having a rare disease. There is currently no cure for OI.

This year they are looking at hosting 30 children with various special needs from across Johannesburg.

They request assistance in this regard with any donations towards making the event a success.

Those interested in donating cold drinks, juice and milkshakes must please do so by October 16 on 061 242 6255.
