A FABULOUS Women’s Month lunch was held at Life Grand Café at Mall of the South on August 3.
Life Grand Café teamed up with Veuve Clicquot and Europa Art to celebrate 25 years of Women’s Day in South Africa and exceptional women of worth.
Thirty hand-picked power women were invited to this exclusive seated lunch. Guests included Candice Abrahams (Mrs World 2016 and Mrs South Africa 2016), Doreen Morris (former Carte Blanche anchor and businesswoman), Ayanda Nhlapo (TV presenter, fashionista and designer), Nonkululeko Mthimkulu (entrepreneur and influencer), Enolicia Strever (Mrs South Africa runner-up 2019), Di Thompson (entrepreneur and creator of Dimanzi Perfume), Candice Robbertze (entrepreneur and Mrs South Africa Charity 2018), to name just a few.
MC and host Tandi Potgieter (Mrs South Africa Personality 2019, CEO of Icarus Media and Founder of Empowering You SA) spoke to the guests about self-love and the importance of living fearlessly.
“Think ‘yes, I can’ before your brain says ‘no, I can’t’. Don’t let fear and insecurities hamper your potential,” said Tandi passionately. “Grab every opportunity and say yes to life.”
While enjoying the soulful sound of talented singer Lungi, guests were treated to incredible creations from Life Grand Café. From the decadent sushi with oysters on a bed of smoking dry ice, the mouth-watering poached salmon to finishing off with a medley of delicious desserts. Served, of course, with a chilled glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne.
“Our chef created a sublime menu to delight and amaze our esteemed guests,” explained Ki-Ki Esmany from Life Grand Café. “It was important for us to create an experience worthy of the women we celebrated here today.”
This was the first of four events being held at Life Grand Café across the country, as we celebrate women and all that they have achieved.
“Looking at the powerful women celebrating Women’s Month at the event today, and hearing their stories, the words of Michelle Obama come to mind: ‘There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish’,” added Tandi.
