GALLERY: Paws in the Park at Rietvlei Zoo Farm
“This has been a fantastic, fun, family day and we hope to make it an annual event on the calendar,” said one of the organisers, Shaun Mackrell.
A FUN family day, Paws in the Park, which took place on August 3, was enjoyed by everyone who went along to Rietvlei Zoo Farm, as well as all their furry friends.
Glow4events, in partnership with Petzone (by Westpack Lifestyle) and sponsors, including Remax, certainly made the day one to remember.
Watershed entertained the crowds and the youngsters enjoyed fun games and entertainment galore throughout the day.
One of the highlights was the dog walk, which went off smoothly with families walking their furry friends on the 2.5km walk around the farm.
There were other activities for the dogs, including a dog check-up station, fun dog wash station, guide dog talk, donation section, paint my pooch, dog agility course, canvas paw section, a doggy photo booth with props, best matching dog and owner competition, as well as various competitions for owners and dogs and stalls for dog products.
No one went hungry or thirsty, with food stalls selling delicious food. The adults also had the opportunity to indulge in the beer tent and gin and wine bars.
Other families brought their own picnics and blankets and enjoyed the festive vibe.
