Trinityhouse Glenvista welcomes founding principal for pre-primary and foundation phase

Jacky de Blocq has vast experience in starting new schools and is extremely excited about introducing the Trinityhouse brand in Johannesburg South.

JACKY de Blocq has been appointed as the founding principal of the pre-primary and foundation phase of Trinityhouse Glenvista.

The CHRONICLE met her on the building site of the new school.

Incredible progress has been made and Jacky is looking forward to the opening of the school in January 2020.

The school will cater to learners from to Grade Quad 0 to Grade 9.

Jacky has a passion for opening new schools and has great experience in this field. As stressful as it is, she derives immense pleasure from this role.

Her main goal is to make sure that the Trinitonion ethos is maintained. She has experienced Trinity at all levels – as a parent when her own children were educated at Trinityhouse, as a teacher and as principal.

“I am extremely excited about introducing the Trinityhouse brand here in Johannesburg South, and parents need to be commended for choosing Trinityhouse as their preferred school for their child.

“They can rest assured that they have made the right decision, and I look forward to meeting each and every one of them personally,” she said.

Jacky is well known within the Trinityhouse community. She started at Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge pre-primary in 2004 as a Grade 0 teacher and moved to the preparatory school’s Grade 3s the following year.

She also became the school’s junior primary sport coordinator in 2009.

In 2011, she left Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge to join Trinityhouse Little Falls as a founding staff member.

In 2014, Jacky took up the reins as the first principal of Trinityhouse Heritage Hill, where she was responsible for the establishment and growth of both the pre-primary and preparatory schools until a principal for the preparatory school was appointed in 2016.

During this time she appointed new staff and modelled them into true Trinitonians.

This was an incredibly tough and challenging two years that Jacky faced head-on with great strength and humility.

Jacky played a pivotal role in the opening of Trinityhouse Northriding in 2015.

She has been involved in the marketing of Trinityhouse Glenvista since the first open day was held.

Her desire to move to the youngest new school came as no surprise as she has all the credentials and experience to help make this school a great success.

While being involved with the activities in Glenvista, Jacky will remain the principal of Trinityhouse Heritage Hill Pre-Primary School until a new school head is found for Trinityhouse Heritage Hill Pre-Primary School.

She will transfer to Trinityhouse Glenvista towards the end of the year.
