LISTEN: La Rochelle singer launches a new album yet again

She says most of her songs are about love and forgiveness because she wants to inspire the modern generation and help them know how important it is to love someone.

RnB songwriter and singer Simangaziwe ‘Simah’ Nkiwane recently dropped her second album titled Come Back. The self-inspired singer who resides in La Rochelle, south of Johannesburg, says she fell in love with music at the age of nine. At that young age, she used to write songs but as time went on she started singing them to family and friends.

She says most of her songs are about love and forgiveness because she wants to inspire the modern generation and help them know how important it is to love someone.

Talking to COURIER she said releasing this album wasn’t easy as she had to balance her family time and career.

“People often think singing is easy but they don’t understand that we spend so much time standing at the studios. My spare time is compromised because I have to make a point that I get my songs running,” she says.

Simgangaziwe Nkiwane says this isn’t the last of her.

Reflecting to one of her tracks in the album Party Time she says a song should be able to tell a story and at the same time teach, instruct, motivate and rebuke. GHETTO Ruff Records is the recording company that has been working with her throughout.

“Music is life for me and I love what am doing. Challenges are always there but one needs to be strong and keep on going to reach greater heights,” she added.

She claimed one of her biggest challenges are men who pretend to escalate her talent to greener pastures but at the end of the day, they only want to sleep with her. She is planning to officially launch her album in September. The venue is yet to be decided. Her music can be found on iTunes, Spotify and more.
