Woman falls 50 metres in Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve

Once in the ambulance, the crew transported her to Mulbarton Hospital for further care.

A 58-year-old woman hiking in the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve with family, slipped and fell 50 metres, injuring her ankle on Sunday morning, May 26.

ER24 paramedics were called in to assist with extraction and treatment, arriving at 11.15am. Three of their medics hiked a couple of kilometres to reach the woman and her family and managed to treat and secure her to a stretcher before they, her family members and a couple of good samaritans carried the patient down off the koppie.
