Emmaus House opened at Revival City College

“Emmaus House aims at being a place where our little ones will meet Jesus while being exposed to a stimulating educational environment,” said Karen.

REVIVAL City College (RCC) has established a baby and child care centre called Emmaus House for babies and young children for their staff.

Karen van den Oever, operational director of RCC, explained that it is very difficult to find committed and dedicated staff members, and as the governing board of RCC they wanted to show care and appreciation for the staff they have.

“Emmaus House aims at being a place where our little ones will meet Jesus while being exposed to a stimulating educational environment,” said Karen.

Natalie Louw, principal of RCC, said that happy staff makes for happy teachers. She explained that the staff with young babies who had to return to work after their maternity leave were appreciative of this initiative, as it gave them peace of mind knowing that their babies were being cared for in a caring, safe environment and that they were close at hand in the case of an emergency.

RCC, which is a private Christian Primary School in Brackenhurst, plans to begin the building of their high school in 2021.

At present, the management and board are in discussions with the architect who designed their primary school. “Exciting things are on the horizon and we are grateful to the Lord for His favour and blessings,” said Natalie.
