IN the early hours of January 29, a man was gruesomely killed after a vehicle hit him at a high speed just past the R82 Dan Pienaar Drive intersection.
A few minutes after 5am, a Caucasian adult male was walking next to the road when an unknown vehicle, which was driving at a high speed, hit him. The man died on impact, his body gruesomely disseminated across both directions of the R82 provincial road.
When the CHRONICLE arrived at the closed-off scene of the accident at around 8.30am, police vehicles from De Deur SAPS, as well as Johannesburg Accident Unit vehicles, were on scene investigating. It was apparent the vehicle that hit the man was not there anymore.
