JOHANNESBURG Flying Squad police officers were conducted routine patrols and were stopped by a security officer at route 82 cosmopolitan flats, corner Tambortie and Paul streets in Kibler Park requesting police assistance to help a lady that was beaten up by her boyfriend on October 31 at about 1pm.

The officers immediately responded to the complaint and proceeded to the flat. On arrival at the flat, one adult male ran to the back door, threw a black jacket out the door.

Upon searching the black jacket one unlicensed 9mm pistol (Norinco) was found. The police officers continued to search and another 9mm pistol (Arcus) was found inside a white VW Polo which belongs to the owner of the flat.

The suspects were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition and assault at Mondeor SAPS.

All three suspects aged between 26 and 28 will be appearing soon in the Johannesburg magistrate court.
