VIDEO: Two sisters reach for the stars at Kids with Talent SA

Both sisters sang and Sienna came first again gaining her a place in the grand final on September 29, which she won.

ISABELLA (12) and Sienna (nine) Rocha, sisters and learners at Marist Brothers Linmeyer, are somewhat famous after taking part in Kids with Talent SA this year.

The competition took place between April and August with over 1 000 talented children taking part in regional finals across the country.

Both Isabella and Sienna sing and dance and in the regional final in August Isabella came first in her age category in the top 12 and Sienna came first, achieving a golden ticket which took her straight through to the finals, which took place in September at MiTech Direct in Midrand.

CONGRATULATIONS: Sienna wins Kids with Talent SA.

Both sisters sang and Sienna came first again gaining her a place in the grand final on September 29, which she won.

“It was a brilliant achievement,” said her mom Ashleigh.

“Both Isabella and Sienna are very talented and we are very proud of them,” she added.

Isabella won a gift voucher and Sienna gift vouchers, and a professional microphone as well as receiving a trophy.

Isabella won Joburg South Has Got Talent with her rendition of Adele’s song, Rolling in the Deep, last year.

“They are both very different. Isabella enjoys singing, dancing and acting and she plays the piano and drums. She is great in academics and cultural things, whereas Sienna is far more sporty and just loves her netball,” said Ashleigh.

Their dad Carlos and mom said it was such a wonderful experience for the girls to be able to appear on stage in front of hundreds of others and they want to give them every opportunity to become professional singers if that’s what they’d like.

TALENTED TWO: Isabella and Sienna Rocha enjoyed the limelight in the recently held Kids with Talent SA.

Chatting to the two girls, Sienna said she’d like to become a famous netball player and play for the Springboks, whereas Isabella likes the idea of becoming an architect or a journalist, eventually writing a book.

What is quite apparent is the two sisters are very close and support each other.

“We are always singing at home so our house is quite noisy,” they both laughed.
