IAN DE RU: “No, I don’t think Women’s Day is necessary. Women and men have been put on earth on an equal basis and we all work together equally. Women’s Day puts unnecessary financial pressure on families.”
THE CHRONICLE wandered into town and asked a few guys whether they thought Women’s Day is necessary or not, and why. Here’s what the fellows shared with us.
DAVID GROB: “Women’s Day is absolutely necessary, in my opinion. They should be honoured for everything they do. However, for the sake of equality, there should be a Men’s Day as well.”DUSTIN VRYSTER: “Definitely, Women’s Day is needed. Women are important and they deserve recognition. They bring life into the world. Women are emotionally stronger than men, and much more beautiful by far.”JOHN MOGKOPE: “I do think women should be celebrated. Women’s Day is a good day because women are good. They give life to all humans, after all.”VINCENT MATHEBULA: “Yes, I think Women’s Day is good. It’s an opportunity to spend time with the ladies and have fun with them. Women are everything, and often more caring than us males.”
