COLD weather didn’t stop the people of the South to brave the outdoors for some family fun. The Winter Fair hosted over two days, July 7 and 8, at the Nasrec Expo Centre proved to be fun and exhilarating.

People and local businesses had their food and pop-up stalls at the expo centre. Children were entertained with fun activities like jumping castles and train rides. There were exhibitions and animal shows for young and old to enjoy.

Fatima Wadee, one of the attendees at the fair, said: “Events of this magnitude should be done more frequently because one is able to meet and engage with different people. The halaal food that is being sold in the stalls is one of the reasons that brought me here. This is also a great opportunity to spend time with my children while taking part in the fun activities.”
