A DEDICATED few residents from Mulbarton and Glenvista gathered early this morning (Monday, July 2) from 6am to voice their concerns over the petrol price hike which will take place on Tuesday, July 3 from 12 midnight.
Bruce Strachan, a resident, put out a message on his WhatsApp group on Saturday asking for support this morning. “It was a poor response, but we’ll carry on all this week. Residents who wish to partake can call me on 082 333 4108 for more information. The few of us who pitched up this morning feel very strongly about the petrol price hike. It’s going to have a marked effect on everything, from food to travelling costs, and people are going to be hit by the fifth increase this year,” Strachan said.
