AFEEFAH Mulla Choonara, an entrepreneur and fashion designer has her winter range listed in selected Young Designers Emporium (YDE) stores.
Early this year, the COURIER ran a story where Afefaah won R50 000 in a West Pack Lifestyle competition. She nominated her favourite charity organisation, Al-Imdaad Foundation from Ormonde where West Pack Lifestyle matched her prize money and donated R50 000 to them as well.
This local entrepreneur used the prize money to build her fashion business, Naked Couture, www.afeefahmulla.com. She also developed her winter range which is now listed in selected YDE stores.
Afeefah’s Naked Couture collection is defined as contemporary, modern, sensual and elegant African fashion – swaying from the traditional concepts of drape, style, print and silhouette.
