Charity golf day in support of abandoned children

Door of Hope children are always in need of support from the public to ensure a well secured welfare.

DOOR of Hope will be hosting a charity golf day at the Houghton Country Club on June 29 as a fund-raising strategy to support the welfare of children in their care.

The theme for the day will be “Superheroes” through which Door of Hope will also promote the sustainability of the organisation in continuously taking care of abandoned children across Johannesburg.

According to Door of Hope’s social investment co-ordinator Kim Nixon, the organisation is always in need of support from the public to ensure the welfare of children is well secured and up to standard.

“This wonderful superhero golf day in June is a nice community awareness of the fund-raising activities. We are determined to increase our ability to save and care for abandoned babies,” she said.

“We remain committed in our cause to support young children and this journey can only be made successful with endless contributions from the community.”

Members of the community should join and support the charity golf day in their numbers to help children in need.

The event will be full of fun activities, creative superhero costumes and lots of prizes to be won. For more information, the public is urged to contact Kim Nixon on 011 432 2797 or email kim@doorofhope.co.za
