Charity drive for local schools in the South

Mall of the South does their part for charity

MALL of the South in association with Pam Golding, South of Joburg Business and Tourism (SOJO) and Howden are hosting a charity drive for local schools in the South.

This initiative is an aspiration to see most of the younger generation acquire quality education to achieve sustainable lifestyles, as well as to positively contribute to their families and communities.

Coined under the hashtag #HelpThyNeighbour, the stationery drive aims to collect new or used stationery items such as colouring books, wax crayons, colour pencils, pencil boxes, workbooks, reading books, sharpeners, pens, eraser, rulers, school bags and generic white uniforms including white shirts and socks, grey pants and black shoes.

The donation box for this cause will be placed underneath the escalators near Game (near entrance four) at Mall of South for the collection of all pledged items.

The proceeds will be equally shared and donated to Rosettenville Central Primary School and Turffontein Primary School on Mandela Day (July 18).

Mall of the South centre manager Hester Smith said they are always happy to join local businesses and organisations to provide for the community.

“Children are the future and if we can help them lead the way, together we can achieve greatness,” she said.
