European tour for Abbotts College Joburg South

“I’d like to thank and congratulate Mr Faddy, as well as Mr Van Zyl, for diligently planning and successfully executing this trip."

LEARNERS from Abbotts College Joburg South recently returned from a tour of Europe and one of them, Toné Maleking, shared her experience.

“I find it extremely difficult to put into words the amazing experience we had on our European tour. No amount of spoken or written words will do it justice,” Toné enthused.

“We kicked our tour off in Amsterdam. This beautiful, unique city has many fascinating sights that we had the privilege to experience, such as the historically rich Anne Frank’s House and the tranquil canal cruise around the city, where we had the opportunity to view the exquisite architecture. Of course, our trip would not be complete without a bicycle ride around the ‘City of Bikes’.

“Next we were off to Brussels, where we indulged in delectable handmade chocolate and had the unforgettable opportunity of designing our own chocolate treats. During our time in Brussels we spent a few days at the Euro Space Centre,” said Toné.

“We ended our tour off in Paris, ‘The City of Love’. The sights were nothing short of amazing. We travelled around the city, taking in the breathtaking scenery, such as the Eiffel Tower Tour, and on our last day we embraced our inner 10-year-olds and enjoyed the day at Disneyland Paris.”

Toné added: “I’d like to thank and congratulate Mr Faddy, as well as Mr Van Zyl, for diligently planning and successfully executing this trip and for being courageous enough to manage all the students’ different personalities. I know it may not have been easy, but they truly did their best to ensure that the students thoroughly enjoyed their time.”
