Hamlet Foundation blanket drive appeal

AS winter is nearing, the Hamlet Foundation is appealing to members of the community, businesses, regular donors and individuals for assistance in donating blankets for children and the elderly.

AS winter is nearing, the Hamlet Foundation is appealing to members of the community, businesses, regular donors and individuals for assistance in donating blankets for children and the elderly.

The Hamlet Foundation is an NGO which was founded in 1954. The foundation accommodates intellectually challenged children and adults.

Any kind of blanket will be appreciated as the foundation has 60 residents to cater for. The purpose of the blanket drive is to ensure that the foundation’s occupants stay warm during winter.“We rely on donations from public and private sectors in order to survive. We need new blankets for beneficiaries. The blankets that we currently have are not enough and some blankets have worn out,’’ said Segri Subrumuny, CEO of Hamlet Foundation.
