House robberies increase in Glenvista, Naturena and Kibler Park

Criminals target homes in the early hours of the mornings, either when the owners are going out to work or while sleeping.

MONDEOR Policing area has seen an increase in crimes of house robberies in the past weeks. The house robberies have been committed mostly in the areas of Glenvista, Naturena and Kibler Park.

Criminals target homes in the early hours of the mornings, either when the owners are going out to work or while sleeping.

Mondeor SAPS in conjunction with CPF Security Companies have adopted an approach towards prevention, combating and investigating these incidents and would like to urge communities to always be on the alert and use the following safety tips.

Ensure domestic workers know when someone is expected to come to the house, not to allow strangers on the premises without having properly identified them, not to approach people at the gate (it is safer to be inside behind locked doors), never tell anyone they are alone in the house, to invest in good security measures and to get to know the neighbours.
