According to the weatherman there is a chance of showers throughout the morning, so that could put a dampener on having a picnic but there’s still lots to do in and around Joburg South and you never know the weatherman could be wrong!
Shopping malls are great to browse around and there are plenty of sales to take advantage of. The Glen offers its new entertainment and food hall, and there are the movies at Nu Metro, Mr Funtubbles fun-filled entertainment for the whole family as well as iJump, for jumpers of all ages!
Mall of the South has some great dining out places for the family as well as couples who want to enjoy a more relaxed lunch or dinner.
For those who feel like more of a party, visit Lusito Land with all the great entertainment that is lined-up, delicious Portuguese food, Caipirinhas and stalls to check out. Party, party! Tickets from Computicket or pay at the entrance in 25 Cayman Road, Alewynspoort.

Rietvlei Zoo Farm offers picnic and braai areas, so if the weather is sunny and warm, indulge in some outdoor fun with friends and family. Plenty of wide open space for youngsters to enjoy themselves.
For the keep fit addicts, why not go to Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve. Entrance at the Entrance Precinct, Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park, or Silent Pools, Frandaph Drive, Mondeor.
