UPDATE: Newborn baby found abandoned on Columbine Avenue, Mondeor

Baby is truly doing so well and has been released from Mulbarton Netcare hospital.

A NEWBORN baby girl was found on Tuesday morning, April 17, abandoned in a veld along Columbine Avenue, Mondeor. ER24 paramedics were called to the scene after patrolling members of the SAPS found the baby. Upon arrival at 11.45am, paramedics found the newborn with the local authorities.

Baby is truly doing so well and has been released from Mulbarton Netcare hospital.

Mulbarton Netcare hospital management and staff have really been so wonderful and caring. The hospital Management and Staff have looked after baby so well and when collecting her, the hospital and staff were so kind to give her babies milk and clothing to take with.

Cpf and Saps Mondeor would like to Thank Mulbarton Netcare hospital from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done for our miracle baby.

Community and Businesses working together to helping those that need it the most is a true blessing. To our Baby Safe house that cannot be mentioned for safety reasons. You know who you are and we want to thank you for all the wonderful work you do for all communities around JHB.

To our Mondeor Saps members Jethro and Olga ,thank you for finding our miracle baby and giving her a second chance at life .Captain Dube for being the drive behind the scenes and sorting out what needed to be sorted out. Thank you ER24 Jhb South for transporting our little miracle baby safely from where she was found to hospital.

To the Sector 2 Committee, Community forum leaders and residents that have opened up their big hearts and that have donated clothing and food for baby, thank you, thank you, thank you.

It is an honour to be a part of a community that care for one another and that are not shy to assist when assistance is needed. If there is anyone that would like to donate clothing, toiletries or a tin of Nan baby milk , drop off point is Sasol Garage Swartgoud corner Columbine ave Mondeor.
