BREAKING NEWS: Fatal accident on the corner of Comaro and Pieter Ackroyd Avenue
An elderly woman has lost her life in an accident on the corner of Comaro Street and Pieter Ackroyd Avenue, Bassonia.
Fatal accident in Bassonia An elderly woman has lost her life in an accident on the corner of Comaro Street and Pieter Ackroyd Avenue, Bassonia.
According to a family friend her and her husband, who are from Linmeyer, were on their way to visit friends for dinner, who live in Bassonia when the accident happened. A man who was driving a high performance Audi, was driving up Comaro and he hit the vehicle with the elderly couple, as they were turning right into Pieter Ackroyd.
The elderly man has been taken to the Netcare Union Hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the Audi is apparently unhurt but has been taken to hospital for a check-up.
The accident happened about 4.50pm on Saturday, April 14.
