Crash in Glenvista

“It seems strange that the vehicles have already been removed and there’s no-one here.”

TWO vehicles collided at the intersection of Bellairs Drive and Hythe Avenue on the morning of April 3.

According to the paper man who stands at the intersection, there was a bakkie and another vehicle involved in the collision and two ambulances attended the scene.

“It happened at about 9.30am and one of the drivers was lying on the side of the road after the accident. I don’t know if he was badly injured or not,” he said.

When the CHRONICLE reporter arrived at the scene, no vehicles were there and Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) arrived at the same time.

“Someone should have stayed here until we arrived,” one of the officers said.

“It seems strange that the vehicles have already been removed and there’s no-one here,” he added.

All that remained was a knocked over traffic light pole, pieces of broken vehicle parts, oil or brake fluid on the road and the traffic lights weren’t working.
