Be wowed at Great Gatsby evening in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice

Come and enjoy Great Gatsby fund-raiser while letting your hair down and having fun going back in time.

AS a gesture of giving back to an organisation who she says “unselfishly and unconditionally assisted, supported and cared for my late husband, myself, our family and friends during his last days,” Gisela Sargent is planning a fund-raiser in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services, “so that they can continue with the incredible services they offer to so many.”

Many will remember the heartbreaking ceremony in November last year when, a mere three days before his passing, Brian Sargent married his long-time love Gisela Rall in his room at the hospice’s in-patient unit in New Market Park.

“Never will I forget the love and encouragement during our wedding ceremony, as well as the utmost compassion and respect during our ‘three-day honeymoon’ before he passed away,” said Gisela.

“I would like to invite everyone to our Great Gatsby fund-raiser where we will have the opportunity of really dressing up (which we don’t always do), letting our hair down and having fun going back in time,” Gisela explained.

As an active director of The Jasmine Lotus Foundation, a charity that is also very close to her heart, Gisela and her daughter, Angelique, will use the fund-raiser to direct a percentage of funds raised to this charity as well, where assistance is given to impoverished individuals and animals.

The Great Gatsby Evening is set to take place on Saturday, April 7, from 5.30pm at the beautiful main hall of the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association venue in Gosforth Park. It is guaranteed to be a fun-filled and memorable evening, where you can come dressed as you are, as a gangster or a screen star.

The ticket price of R250 includes a three-course meal, as well as an entertainment line-up featuring Robbie Weir as MC and musician Lizz Engelbrecht from Lizz Music. A cash bar will also be available.

Kindly contact Gisela or Angie on 083 654 5235 or 083 280 0922 or email thejaslotus@gmail.com to book your tickets.
