Miss Earth stationery drive

We contribute towards the building of the young characters and personalities of the children, with whom we interact on a regular basis.

EACH year the Miss Earth South Africa head office runs a stationery drive in communities where learners start their schooling year with little or no stationery at all. Public and corporate contributions to this drive are appreciated and add to the good the team is able to do, thus enriching and empowering those in need.

The organisation has a deep-seated understanding of education and the factors involved in moulding young minds. Having worked within the educational sphere for the past 15 years, the team has experienced first-hand the needs that society is faced with.

“Through the work that is done, we ensure that there is an educational element and foundation that is put into place. We contribute towards the building of the young characters and personalities of the children, with whom we interact on a regular basis. Learning thrives in a productive environment, and by educating and greening we are able to accomplish something special. The children receive knowledge, a healthier environment and a broader perspective,” said executive director Catherine Constantinides. “A healthy environment allows for a healthy hunger for education and learning to flourish. Our children are our greatest investment. There is no worthier cause than the care of the future generations.”

The stationery drive rolls out on January 30, at Solwazi School in Orange Farm, Soweto. If you are able to sponsor or donate, kindly contact the head office on 082 5050 664, or email safusion@mweb.co.za
