Mondeor SAPS makes arrests

Arrests were made from various operations which were conducted.

Mondeor SAPS members were patrolling on Swartkoppies Road in Kibler Park on January 22 at about 8.10pm when they noticed a suspicious silver Polo with five occupants aged between 24 and 32.

The police searched them and found an unlicensed firearm, three knives and screwdrivers.

The suspects were arrested and detained in the Mondeor cells and will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.

Look out for these vehicles

Be on the lookout for a black Polo with four armed coloured men allegedly involved in a hijacking in Naturena. The vehicle has false registration plates showing VFX 124 GP.

Also look out for a silver Polo Vivo with two armed men allegedly involved in an attempted murder in Naturena. The registration number of the vehicle is unknown.

Successes from January 17 to January 24

Seven were arrested for possession of dagga, six for assault, five for possession of dangerous weapons, five for shoplifting, four for theft, four for armed robbery and common robbery, three for fraud, two for possession of suspected stolen property, one for rape, one for house robbery/attempted murder, one for pointing of a firearm, one for malicious damage to property and one for dealing in liquor.
