SAPS nab burglary syndicate

The SAPS are not ruling out the possibility of linking the suspects to a series of theft of motor vehicles, house breakings and robberies that have been taking place around the South of Joburg and the surrounding policing precinct.

ACTING from a positive look-out by the community of a black BMW with three occupants, Mondeor police apprehended three suspects for house breaking, attempted house breaking and possession of suspected stolen goods in Bassonia, on the morning of January 9.

However, later preliminary police investigation revealed that the three suspects, aged between 20 and 35, had earlier broken into a house in Brackendowns and the vehicle they were driving, a black BMW five, was positively stolen in Parkview, Johannesburg north. As a result a further charge of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle was added.

SAPS are not ruling out the possibility of linking the suspects to a series of theft of motor vehicles, house break-ins and robberies that have been taking place around the South of Joburg and the surrounding policing precinct.

All three suspects are expected to appear shortly before the Johannesburg Central court on all the above indicated charges.
