“PLEASE help bring Twinkles the chow dog back home for Christmas! Twinkles is still missing. We’ve upped the reward to R5 000 for her safe return. Let’s get her home for Christmas.
Have you or your network seen the dog lately? It’s been over 40 days since our baby girl went missing. Twinkles was last seen on November 3 in Kibler Park. She is a blue chow (colours display as dark grey/ash), she is one year old and super friendly. She was being treated for an infection behind her left ear.
If you or someone you know has her, please get in touch urgently. We have to assume good intent here, so if you or someone you know has rescued her and have been looking after her all this time, we sincerely appreciate your care, but it’s time for her to come home and we’d like to offer you a reward for your efforts.
There will be no questions asked, no repercussions. We just want our beautiful girl back. If for some reason she’s still running around out there, please know that any dog that has been fending for itself for this long may be afraid of people. It’s best not to run after her or try and catch her yourself. Follow her slowly.
Dogs in flight-or-fight mode will not recognise ‘safety’ – everything is dangerous to them so they’ll dash. It’s best to leave the ‘catching’ to someone who knows what they’re doing.
