Church gives back to South Hills

Church members chose the name of a girl or boy to buy a gift for, and the gifts were then placed under a Christmas tree in the church foyer.

KARDIA Family Church on Burger Street in Suideroord recently held a Christmas lunch and outreach for members of the South Hills community.

The church hosts outreaches for the elderly, youth and children of the South Hills community and decided to spoil them this year with a Christmas lunch on December 10.

Members from the church made it their duty to fetch whoever needed transport to the church, where the normal Sunday morning service began at about 9am. The service concluded with carols, after which lunch was served.

Everyone was blessed with a meal and dessert and enjoyed fellowship around a table.

For the outreach programme, members of the church and the community came together, with each church member choosing the name of a girl or boy to buy a gift for. The gifts were then placed under a Christmas tree in the foyer of the church.
