BETWEEN Linda Paxson and Jan Nieuwenhuis, teachers at Mondeor High School, they have 103 years of teaching experience between them
Linda has taught at Mondeor High School for 22 years and previously taught at Forest High School and The Hill High School for a total of 28 years, while Jan has been here for 33 years, previously at Queens High, Bezuidenhout and Forest High for a total of 20 years.
The two say they have seen huge changes in teaching over the years.
“Teaching has certainly changed since we first became teachers and although we have faced many challenges we’ve enjoyed our careers,” added Linda and Jan.
Linda has taught every subject in the curriculum since first coming into teaching 50 years ago and Jan is multi-talented, in his later years teaching technology, civil technology and creative art.
