A six-a-side soccer team tournament was underway with over 20 teams battling each other in group stages for a whopping R6 000 in prize money.

A JAM-PACKED family fun day was held at the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Mondeor on October 28.

The Mondeor police precinct, in conjunction with Sector 3 CPF, hosted a family fun day with a variety of stalls for visitors to enjoy.

STALLS GALORE: A large number of stallholders came to the party.

A mini flea market with goodies from cupcakes, drinks to perfume ensured patrons stayed refreshed while cheering for their favourite team on the football field.

FAMILY HEAVEN: Tania and Alicia de Vries from “Little Piece of Heaven” make cakes-to-die-for.

A huge jumping castle saw many brave souls towering it before plummeting in ecstasy all in the name of fun.

Both SAPS and Sector 3 CPFs were on high visibility ensuring that all enjoyed their stay at the fun day.

TO SERVE AND PROTECT: Patrollers were on high alert for the community’s safety but also took the time to share a word or two with those who visited the festival.

The police’s K9 Unit entertained all with man’s best friend coming to the party to show-off how tactically trained they are.

The trained K9 dogs showed off their prowess with a variety of tactical police tricks.

ENTERTAINMENT: Patrons were entertained by a dancing crew from Studio 55.

A fun day was had for all families that braved the unpredictable Saturday weather.

K9 UNIT: The police dogs unit also arrived to showcase their discipline.
ALL SMILES: Cause4Paws joined the event to showcase their products on sale for a good cause.
RUN: A paid for ride for the brave.
HELPING HAND: Mondeor SAPS helps out where they can assist the elderly.
SWEET TOOTH: Some of the decadent delights which were available for purchase.
PLUMMET: One of the roll-balloon assistants shows off his skills tumbling down the large jumping castle.
