Alberton City offers apology

The Management team will personally contact the customer to enquire on her well-being and as a gesture of goodwill offer her a complimentary meal voucher to welcome her back to the centre.

I recently had a bad fall on a slippery spot at the bottom of the escalators in Alberton City on September 22, and as a result my leg was badly bruised and had I had a cut above my eye.

What really upsets me is that someone from the centre took all my details and photos, but did not have the decency to find out if I was okay afterwards. I am so unimpressed.

Comment from Alberton City Shopping Centre

Alberton City Shopping Centre is aware of the incident that took place on September 22. From the footage it seems the customer was in a hurry and lost her footing as she stepped off the escalator. A security guard promptly assisted the customer and offered to call an ambulance. The customer advised that no medical assistance was needed. The security guard remained by the customer’s side until her daughter arrived to ensure she was stable. We would like to take this opportunity to also thank Maxi’s management for offering a helping hand.

The Management team will personally contact the customer to enquire about her well-being and as a gesture of goodwill, offer her a complimentary meal voucher to welcome her back to the centre.
