Educating underprivileged children

The Head and Heart Life Solutions imparts life skills through fun.

THE Head and Heart Life Solutions held its first fund-raiser event on July 22 with the theme ‘You’re in the Army Now’.

ARMY STYLE: Children go through one of the obstacle courses.

In an atmosphere of army styled fun and games, children from more privileged communities, combined with those from less fortunate families, learned about life skills, how to stay safe around weapons and how to control anger.

Each child went home with a DIY Rubber Band Rifle but first had to earn their ‘Rubber Band Rifle License’ by proving they know how to keep themselves and others safe around weapons. They also learned that angry feelings must be dealt with appropriately.

The ‘You’re in the Army Now’ event was a great success thanks to everyone who supported and volunteered at this event.

TEAMWORK: Children learn valuable life skills like how to stay safe around weapons and how to control anger.

Head and Heart aims to run a diversity of fun-themed, life skill workshops for children and adults. The aim is to provide life skills to others whilst at the same time raising funds and to impart life skills within poorer communities.

Join the Head and Heart Life Solutions on September 9 to help children between seven and 12 years old deal with bullying.
