Telkom store robbed in Mall of the South

D&D Tactical is currently pursuing the vehicle with the suspects.

Mall of the South Centre Management confirms that an armed robbery took place at the Telkom store on Saturday, 2 September, just before 12pm.

Suspects entered the Mall through the back passage pretending to be tenant staff.  They entered the Telkom store as customers, showed the staff a firearm and fled the site, with an undisclosed amount of goods, in silver Audi.

South Africa Police Services (SAPS) has been at the Mall since 11am for additional security presence. Mall security, SAPS and D&D Tactical reacted immediately as soon as they were informed of a robbery at the store.  D&D Tactical is currently pursuing the vehicle with the suspects.

Further investigation is underway.

No injuries and no shots were reported.

There is no disruption in the mall; the Mall is trading as normal.
