Kliprivier police gives some crime prevention tips

"We are informing all drivers to take care and be vigilant when driving on these roads"

KLIPRIVIER Police would like to warn road users about hijackings and how to help protect you from them.

The following areas in the Kliprivier precinct were identified as hot spots for car and truck hijacking crimes:

  • R550 (road-truck hijacking);
  • R59 (road-truck and car hijacking).

“We are informing all drivers to take care and be vigilant when driving on these roads,” says warrant officer Happy Nape, communications officer for the Kliprivier SAPS.

“We would also like to encourage them to phone the nearest police station if they suspect anything untoward. They should not stop in deserted or dark areas, but rather at a police of filling station. Always make sure that all the vehicle’s windows are closed and doors are locked,” he adds.

You can call the Kliprivier Police on 011 903 8205/6 or the Brackendowns Police on 011 617 5600/1/2/3/52
