Engen garage Bassonia robbed

A case of business robbery has been opened at Mondeor Police Station.

ON Thursday evening, July 20 at about 8.30pm two men held up cashiers at the Engen garage, on the corner of Comaro Street and Soetdoring Avenue, Bassonia.

According to Captain Dube (corporate communication) from Mondeor Police Station, a petrol attendant was coming from the bathroom when he saw the two men with firearms holding up the cashiers. The armed men went around the counter and demanded money, taking two drawers with an undisclosed amount. They then ran out to an unknown VW Jetta that was parked across the street, firing two shots. No one was injured.
