Gold Reef City rocks to a new Barnyard Theatre

GOLD Reef City, Jozi’s premier entertainment destination in the South, celebrated the official launch of its very own, on-property The Barnyard Theatre, on June 29.

The theatre is adding yet another world-class facility to its already impressive stable. Doors to The Barnyard Theatre at Gold Reef City have officially been open to the public since June 21, kicking off with the hit show “50 Carat Gold”.

GETTING SOCIAL Social media guru, Cliff Pinto of Blairgowrie and blogger El Broide of Norwood get into the spirit to enjoy an evening of great entertainment.

“50 Carat Gold” covers every important song that made an impact on people’s lives with timeless rocking hits that have topped the charts for the past 60 years. This not-to-be-missed show will be performed until July 9.

The Barnyard Theatre’s in-house productions are world class and have toured abroad to Europe, The Middle East and other African countries. More recently Barnyard Theatre artists performed to sell-out audiences at the Madinat Theatre in the 5-star Jumeirah Resort, Dubai.

“We are excited to be among the select group of Barnyard Theatres in Gauteng. This is just another way we endeavour to provide our guests with even more top-notch entertainment to choose from,” said Gareth Kaschula, Gold Reef City’s marketing manager.

WHAT A PERFORMANCE: Gold Reef City’s General Manager, Mike Page with the talented Azia D, who hails from Port Elizabeth and Capetonian, Caelee Vercueil after the girls’ performance in “50 Carat Gold”, the show that marked the official launch of the new Barnyard Theatre at the popular entertainment mecca in the south of Jozi, on June 29.

The new Barnyard Theatre at Gold Reef City can seat 400 patrons and boasts an in-house catering division which has pizzas, snack baskets, platters, buffet options and more on offer. This unique theatre experience provides the perfect night out with live entertainment for couples, families and friends. The Barnyard Theatres are also ideal for birthday parties, fundraising events, corporate functions, client entertainment, day conferencing and more.

CELEBRATION TIME: June 29 saw the official opening of a new Barnyard Theatre at the popular resort and casino in the south of Jozi, Gold Reef City. Among the guests who enjoyed some bubbly and watched the show “50 Carat Gold”, to mark the occasion, were Gold Reef City’s Marketing Manager, Gareth Kaschula, Barnyard Theatre’s Managing Partner, Seona Cochran, founder of the Barnyard Theatre brand, Louis Möller and Gold Reef City’s General Manager, Mike Page.

 Show times and ticket prices: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm: R150pp; Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm: R180pp; Saturday matinee at 2.30pm, R150pp; Sunday matinee at 2.30: R130pp, plus on Sundays: *Kids under 12 years – free (two children per adult) and pensioners – half price (telephonic bookings only).
