A PUBLIC meeting was held on June 8 at Glenanda Primary School regarding the proposed development next to Virgin Active.
A general objection form was handed out. Ward 23 councillor, Sarah Wissler, invited Chairperson for Development Planning for COJ (Graham de Kock) to this meeting to assist in answering questions.
The meeting began with a welcome from Sarah Wissler and then the discussion about the servitude began. This included discussions with Transnet representatives who analysed the impact on traffic as well as the current infra-structure (water, electricity and sewerage).
Schooling, property value for houses in Glananda and sizes of townhouses were also discussed.
Despite the extremely cold weather conditions, many residents braced the cold for the public meeting which was a positive turn of events.
