The Blue Ribbon Sandwich Challenge is taking place in June, following the success of this initiative to feed hungry mouths over the past two years.
Twelve Blue Ribbon bakeries around the country, including the Sasko Aeroton Bakery, in Aeroton, will challenge each other to make the most sandwiches for charity.
Last year, the bakeries made 175 000 sandwiches with the winning bakery dishing up 25 000 sandwiches alone!
The Blue Ribbon employees work in hour-long shifts for most of the day at different sandwich-filling stations to meet the challenge.
This year, the goal is higher and the project plans to feed many more people across the country.
The Aeroton Bakery challenge will take place on June 15.
