TWO males aged 23 years were arrested and detained at Mondeor Police Station cells in connection with a murder that occurred on May 15 at about 1am at Jackson’s informal settlement in Eikenhof.
The deceased, a 25-year-old Malawian national, was stabbed in the early hours in a shack in Eikenhof. Police and an ambulance were called to the scene, whereafter he was certified dead. The deceased was found with stab wounds, beaten and wrapped with the scarf that was used to strangle him.
The suspects appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder. No more information is available.
