Rest in peace

Michael Nolan served his faith in many ways, through Nazareth house, The Society of St Vincent De Paul and most recently ordained in 2009 as a deacon, went on to serve his parish through it's very successful RCIA programme as well as assisting in the Sunday morning mass in the chapel at Booysens.

ON April 18, parishioners said their final goodbyes to Deacon Michael Nolan.

Nolan died of a heart attack on Palm Sunday, April 9.

Archbishop Buti Tlhagale, Auxillary Bishop Duncan Tsoke, Vicar General Fr Paul Beukes and priests from the Southern Deanery attended his funeral mass. Father John Thompson (parish priest) delivered a heartfelt homily.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his children, Lauren, Kirsten, Nicola and Matthew, and his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed and was thanked for his service. Thoughts and prayers are with his family. May he rest in the eternal light of Christ.
