Swimming in medals

Waterstone College welcomes its national colours for swimming.

WATERSTONE College continues its sporting successes and welcomes national colours for swimming.

Stephanie Baigrie, Kasia Sjewallo-Graney, Matthew de Gouveia, Kade Benson, Erin Sherwood and Joshua Brown all achieved SACSSA colours at the national gala held on Saturday, March 4.

The following swimmers were placed in the top ten overall rankings:

Girls 13 and under: Stephanie Baigrie (second), Kasia Sjewallo-Graney (third), Erin Sherwood (sixth), Tristyn Benham (eighth) and Jenna-Lee Lubbe (10th).

Boys 13 and under: Kade Benson (second), Matthew de Goveia (third), Joshua Cooke (seventh) and Torgan White (ninth).

The medal count is as follows:

Stephanie Baigrie, nine gold, one silver and one bronze.

Kasia Sjewallo-Graney, four gold and three silver.

Erin Sherwood, two gold and four silver.

Matthew de Gouveia, two gold, five silver and two bronze.

Kade Benson, seven gold and two silver.

Joshua Cooke, three silver.

Tristyn Benham, two gold and one silver.

Torgan White, two gold, one silver and one bronze.

Jenna-Lee Lubbe, one gold and one silver.

Layla van Es, one gold and one silver.

Yachna Sookdev, one silver.

Joshua Brown, one gold and one silver.

Hayley Swanepoel also received a medal.
