Make a donation and receive tax perks

The Epic Foundation is in need of urgent financial support to assist with running its office and maintaining the projects and initiatives for 2017.

THE Epic Foundation is encouraging individuals and corporates to bear the benefits in mind of donating to a non-profit organisation in terms of income tax.

The foundation is in need of urgent financial support to assist with running its office and maintaining the projects and initiatives for 2017. During 2016, they distributed 7 350 comfort packs to rape survivors and assisted 732 children through the Fairy Godmother project.The SARS financial year-end is on February 28, 2017.

If you make a donation to the Epic Foundation before February 28 you will benefit as follows:

• Epic Foundation is a SARS registered non-profit organisation which enables it to issue 18A tax certificates which will qualify you for a deduction of up to 10% of your taxable income.

• The foundation carries a 94.4% (level 1) BBBEE certification and companies who make donations will earn BBBEE points.

Donations to qualify for this tax benefit need to be made before February 28. This is an opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of survivors of rape and abuse and, at the same time, qualify for a tax deduction.

Donations can be made via EFT to the Epic Foundation and proof of payment should be emailed to info@epicfoundation.org.za.

Also, send an email confirming your donation and your full name and address to enable them to issue the 18A tax certificate.
