Support AACL with your small change

The School Tin Collection Drive is a voluntary campaign.

CONGRATULATIONS to Harvest Christian School in Mulbarton for collecting the most money out of all participating schools in the Animal Anti-Cruelty League’s (AACL) School Tin Collection Drive 2016.

The school went all out with their fundraising efforts, amassing close to R15 000 and making them the indisputable champions.

Johann Steenkamp, the AACL’s education officer, thanked the school for its exceptional support. He encouraged those learners who love animals and are concerned for their welfare to consider becoming part of this worthwhile initiative during 2017.

He said that, collectively, every small effort can make a difference and every cent can help the AACL.

Hearty congratulations must also go to the learner who achieved the most in terms of raising funds through the Tin Collection Drive 2016. Very well done to Krisha Patel from Verney College in Rosettenville, who collected close on R1 000. She was awarded a beautiful Ixus camera, generously donated by Canon South Africa.

The School Tin Collection Drive is a voluntary campaign. Beautifully coloured tins, with a slot for small change, are distributed by AACL to schools that are keen to be part of the initiative.

The tins will be handed out to children or classes who wish to participate in this fundraising campaign for the AACL Johannesburg.

Those schools interested in being part of the 2017 drive can contact Johann Steenkamp at AACL at educate@aacl-jhbnb.co.za or on 011 435 0672.
