Concern rises as water pipe bursts again

Concern rises as water pipe burst again and wastes hundreds of litres of clean water.

LAST year, numerous Kibler Park residents were proud of workers who put in extra hours to fight a water leak that occurred in Peggy Vera Road on the morning of Monday, November 14.

However, that pipe burst again this past Sunday, January 29.

The following Monday, January 30, the pipe was fixed but concerns were raised because locals had claimed that even the burst in November, 2016, was not the first one in that same area.

In fact, the owner of the property was left with a headache about who would now be responsible for repairing the wall.

DA ward 25 councillor Peter Stewart said he had elevated the property owner’s concern with regards to the responsibility to repair the wall.
