Local samaritan boxer’s house burns down

Samaritan Paul and his family lost everything except the clothes on their backs and need help.

THE Junior All Africa WBA welterweight champion and samaritan, Paul Kamanga, lost his house to a fire on Tuesday, November 8, around 06:00 in Linmeyer.

Paul and his family of eight lost everything to the fire except the clothes they were wearing and will now need the help of the community to get back on their feet.

Paul has a good reputation for helping the youth and children in the South, getting them to focus on positive things and stay away from drugs that are ruining his community.

Friend and neighbour Andrea Hoffman is collecting everything and anything to help Paul and his family start over and encourages people to WhatsApp or call her to make donations on 072 679 6478.

“Unfortunately they were not able to save anything. I am collecting items to help them start over. Paul donates his time to helping street kids earn money by cleaning the streets in the South. Now he needs our help,” she said.

Paul took to Facebook to announce his unfortunate situation and wrote,”Sometimes we do not know why God does the things He does but we understand that He works all things for the good of those that love him. My house burnt down this morning and we lost everything. But a new start is always good, please keep me and my family in prayers.”

Paul was announced as the Lead SA hero of the month in September 2015 on Talk Radio 702.
