Garden club meetings for November

On Tuesday, November 29, at the same venue, 11:30 for 12:00, will be the final meeting for 2016 with the annual Christmas lunch.

JOHANNESBURG South Garden Club will be hosting two meetings in November, with one of them being in the form of its Christmas lunch.
At The Precinct, Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park on Saturday, November 19 at 10:00, the vice chairman of the club, Rob Jones, will hold a workshop where he will demonstrate and teach you how to make a Christmas table centrepiece.
Attendees are requested to bring five baubles and four red candles (preferably the shorter, fatter type). All other material will be supplied by the club.
Entrance for this meeting will be R40 per person, to assist with covering the additional cost for materials. Refreshments will be included. Please note that the item you make will be yours to take home after the meeting.
At the same venue on Tuesday, November 29, at 11:30 for 12:00, will be the final meeting for 2016 – with the annual Christmas lunch. The main course will consist of cold meats and salads, followed by desserts. If you are able to assist in supplying a salad or dessert, please advise Denise Haslecker on 082 551 3919. The club will supply fruit juice; all other drinks to be supplied by members.
Members are invited to make up tables of eight, each to be decorated by the table convenor. A prize will be awarded for the best-decorated table. If you would like to convene a table, please notify Denise accordingly. Table convenors to supply their own plates, bowls and glasses. Entertainment will be provided. This meeting is for members only and will be free of charge.
